"My all time favorite stay in Japan is Hirotani Pension! "

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly. Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. "Lovely house high up a hill overlooking the lake and Mt Fuji visible on clear day. We stayed two nights and regretted not staying longer. Well appointed house: comfortable and warm. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended."

"It is too overpriced, very old and cleaning room is lazy! Two day night stays for 350000 yen with no breakfast? However, it is Dec 27 and 28 ! I expected better! "

"If you are a tourist, this place is only accessible by taxi. If you want to take the bus, make sure you do not have luggage as the city busses are very small. The onsen is really the highlight of the place. "

"Very easy process to self check in, room spotless, great free drinks options, excellent breakfast (would recommend getting double portion of 'toast', which is delivered to your door at specified time (you must choose order before 11pm). Great location next to lake front. Would def stay again 😎"
